Hi Readers!
I see I have some new subscribers, and that’s great! Thank you so much. Nice to meet you. Here’s what’s happening in my writing world.
I’m getting ready to start my 24th year in the classroom. This stuns me! I am still in love with my career—most days.
Here’s my short note about the new school year- published in my online mag: Inspired Education:
Entering the 2022-2023 School Year
Also—I decided to remove a writing account “Rae Lately.” She just wasn’t revealing enough. I think I say what I mean with my real voice. Turns out I am really myself. And so, I am reviving some old stories with my real name.
Remember when we were washing our mail? Yeah- 2020 seems like a lifetime ago, but Covid’s still here.
My favorite poem (prose-poem) of the summer is “A Poet Holds Onto Her Words”
In Sky Collection news, I opened my publication up to writers again! My most recent prompt, “If It Isn’t Written, Did It Happen?” asks writers to consider nostalgia.
If you didn’t know—the best part of my 2020— publishing Reaching Marrakesh —available here.
More collections coming out soon—when I can get organized!
I publish mostly on Medium.com.
